16:13-20
When
Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea
Philippi,
he
asked his disciples, saying,
Whom
do men say that I the Son of man am?
And
they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and
others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
He
saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
And
Simon Peter answered and said,
Thou
art the Christ,
the
Son of the living God.
And
Jesus answered and said unto him,
Blessed
art thou, Simon Barjona:
for
flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee,
but my
Father which is in heaven.
And I
say also unto thee,
That
thou art Peter,
and
upon this rock I will build my church;
and
the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And I
will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:
and
whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:
and
whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Then
charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that
he was
Jesus the Christ.

Chapter 9:6
Jesus
Forgives and Heals a Paralytic
1 So
He got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own city.
2
Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When
Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, be of
good cheer; your sins are forgiven you."
3 And
at once some of the scribes said within themselves, "This Man
blasphemes!"
4 But
Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in
your hearts?
5 For
which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say,
'Arise and walk'?
6 But
that you may know that the Son of Man
has power on earth to forgive sins"--then He said to the
paralytic, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."
7 And
he arose and departed to his house.
8 Now
when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had
given such power to men.

Jesus
Is Lord of the Sabbath
1 At
that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. And His
disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
2 And
when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, "Look, Your
disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath!"
3 But
He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he was
hungry, he and those who were with him:
4 how
he entered the house of God and ate the showbread which was not
lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for
the priests?
5 Or
have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the
temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?
6 Yet
I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple.
7 But
if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,'
you would not have condemned the guiltless.
8 For
the Son of Man is Lord even of the
Sabbath."

Chapter
12:32
22
Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute;
and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
23
And all the multitudes were amazed and said, "Could this be the
Son of David?"
24
Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, "This fellow does not
cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons."
25
But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: "Every kingdom
divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or
house divided against itself will not stand.
26 If
Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will
his kingdom stand?
27
And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them
out? Therefore they shall be your judges.
28
But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of
God has come upon you.
29 Or
how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless
he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.
30 He
who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me
scatters abroad.
31
"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be
forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be
forgiven men.
32
Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of
Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the
Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in
the age to come.

Chapter
12:40
38
Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, "Teacher,
we want to see a sign from You."
39
But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous
generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except
the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the
great fish, so will the Son of Man be
three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
50
For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and
sister and mother."

Chapter 13
13: 37, 41
13: 37, 41
36
Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His
disciples came to Him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the
tares of the field."
37 He
answered and said to them:
"He
who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
38
The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom,
but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.
39
The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the
age, and the reapers are the angels.
40
Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it
will be at the end of this age.
41
The Son of Man will send out His angels,
and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and
those who practice lawlessness,
42
and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing
and gnashing of teeth.
43
Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of
their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
44
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a
field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and
sells all that he has and buys that field.
45
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking
beautiful pearls,
46
who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all
that he had and bought it.

16: 13,
27, 28
13
When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His
disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the
Son of Man, am?"
14 So
they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others
Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
15 He
said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
16
Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of
the living God."
17
Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon
Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My
Father who is in heaven.
18
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will
build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
19
And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever
you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on
earth will be loosed in heaven."
20
Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He
was Jesus the Christ.
21
From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go
to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief
priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
22
Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "Far
be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!"
23
But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are
an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but
the things of men."
24
Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come
after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
25
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses
his life for My sake will find it.
26
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses
his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
27
For the Son of Man will come in the
glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each
according to his works.
28
Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not
taste death till they see the Son of Man coming
in His kingdom."

Jesus
Transfigured on the Mount
1 Now
after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led
them up on a high mountain by themselves;
2
and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and
His clothes became as white as the light.
3 And
behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
4
Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us
to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for
You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
5
While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed
them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This
is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!"
6 And
when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were
greatly afraid.
7 But
Jesus came and touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be
afraid."
8
When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.
9 Now
as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying,
"Tell the vision to no one until the Son
of Man is risen from the dead."
10 And
His disciples asked Him, saying, "Why then do the scribes say
that Elijah must come first?"
11
Jesus answered and said to them, "Indeed, Elijah is coming first
and will restore all things.
12
But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know
him but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise the Son
of Man is also about to suffer at their hands."
13
Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them of John the
Baptist.

Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The

And they were exceedingly sorrowful.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Assuredly, I say to you that
it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24
And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the

25
When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying,
"Who then can be saved?"
26
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is
impossible, but with God all things are possible."
27
Then Peter answered and said to Him, "See, we have left all and
followed You. Therefore what shall we have?"
28 So
Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the
regeneration, when the Son of Man sits
on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on
twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or
mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall
receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

Chapter
24: 27, 30, 37, 39, 44
The
Great Tribulation
15
"Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken
of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever
reads, let him understand),
16
then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
17
Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of
his house.
18
And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
19
But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies
in those days!
20
And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
21
For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since
the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22
And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but
for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.
23
Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!'
do not believe it.
24
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs
and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25
See, I have told you beforehand.
26
Therefore if they say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!' do not go
out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe it.
27
For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so
also will the coming of the Son of Man
be.
The
Coming of the Son of Man
29
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be
darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall
from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30
Then the sign of the Son of Man will
appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn,
and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with
power and great glory.
31
And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they
will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of
heaven to the other.
36
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of
heaven, but My Father only.
37
But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son
of Man be.
38
For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the
ark,
39
and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also
will the coming of the Son of Man be.
40
Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other
left.
41
Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the
other left.
42
Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
43
But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour
the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house
to be broken into.
44
Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man
is coming at an hour you do not expect.

2 Now
five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3
Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
4 but
the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
13
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which
the Son of Man is coming.

"When the Son of Man comes in His
glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the
throne of His glory.
32
All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the
goats.
33
And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the
left.
34
Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed
of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the
foundation of the world:
35
for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me
drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
36 I
was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in
prison and you came to Me.'
37
Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see
You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
38
When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe
You?
39 Or
when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
40
And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you,

did it to Me.'

3
Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people

Gethsemane
36
Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to
the disciples, "Sit here while I go and pray over there."
37
And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began
to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.
38
Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to
death. Stay here and watch with Me."
39 He
went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O
My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me;
nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will."
40
Then He came to the disciples and found them asleep, and said to
Peter, "What? Could you not watch with Me one hour?
41
Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is
willing, but the flesh is weak."
42
Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My
Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your
will be done."
43
And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.
44 So
He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the
same words.
45
Then He came to His disciples and said to them, "Are you still
sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son
of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

The
Sanhedrin
57
And those who had laid hold of Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the
high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
58
But Peter followed Him at a distance to the high priest's courtyard.
And he went in and sat with the servants to see the end.
59
Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false
testimony against Jesus to put Him to death,
60
but found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they
found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward
61
and said, "This fellow said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of
God and to build it in three days.' "
62
And the high priest arose and said to Him, "Do You answer
nothing? What is it these men testify against You?"
63
But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him,
"I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the
Christ, the Son of God!"
64
Jesus said to him, "It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to
you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man
sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of
heaven."
65
Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, "He has spoken
blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you
have heard His blasphemy!
66
What do you think?" They answered and said, "He is
deserving of death."

2:10
1 And
again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He
was in the house.
2
Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room
to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to
them.
3
Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four
men.
4 And
when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they
uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through,
they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.
5
When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, your
sins are forgiven you."
6 And
some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,
7
"Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive
sins but God alone?"
8 But
immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned
thus within themselves, He said to them, "Why do you reason
about these things in your hearts?
9
Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven

10
But that you may know that the Son of Man
has power on earth to forgive sins"--He said to the paralytic,
11 I
say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."
12
Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence
of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, "We
never saw anything like this!"
13
Then He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him,

29 He
said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter
answered and said to Him, "You are the Christ."
30
Then He strictly warned them that they should tell no one about Him.
31
And He began to teach them that the Son of Man
must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief
priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
32 He
spoke this word openly. And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke
Him.
33
But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked
Peter, saying, "Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of
the things of God, but the things of men."
34
When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He
said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
35
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses
his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.
36
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses
his own soul?
37 Or
what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
38
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and
sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also
will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the
holy angels."

9:9, 9:12
Jesus
Transfigured
2 Now
after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on
a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before
them.
3 His
clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no
launderer on earth can whiten them.
4 And
Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.
5
Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us
to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for
Moses, and one for Elijah"--
6
because he did not know what to say, for they were greatly afraid.
7 And
a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the
cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!"
8
Suddenly, when they had looked around, they saw no one anymore, but
only Jesus with themselves.
9 Now
as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they
should tell no one the things they had seen, till the Son
of Man had risen from the dead.
10 So
they kept this word to themselves, questioning what the rising from
the dead meant.
11
And they asked Him, saying, "Why do the scribes say that Elijah
must come first?"
12
Then He answered and told them, "Indeed, Elijah is coming first
and restores all things. And how is it written concerning the Son
of Man, that He must suffer many things and be treated with
contempt?
13
But I say to you that Elijah has also come, and they did to him
whatever they wished, as it is written of him."

Chapter 10
Mark
10:33
32
Now they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going
before them; and they were amazed. And as they followed they were
afraid. Then He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them
the things that would happen to Him:
33
"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son
of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the
scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the
Gentiles;
34
and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill
Him. And the third day He will rise again."
Mark
10:45
42
But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, "You know
that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over
them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
43
Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great
among you shall be your servant.
44
And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all.
45
For even the Son of Man did not come to
be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

Chapter 13
Mark
13:26
14
"So when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not" (let the reader
understand), "then let those who are in Judea flee to the
mountains.
15
Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter
to take anything out of his house.
16
And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
17
But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies
in those days!
18
And pray that your flight may not be in winter.
19
For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been
since the beginning of the creation which God created until this
time, nor ever shall be.
20
And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be
saved; but for the elect's sake, whom He chose, He shortened the
days.
21
Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'Look, He
is there!' do not believe it.
22
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and
wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
23
But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.
24
"But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be
darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
25
the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be
shaken.
26
Then they will see the Son of Man coming
in the clouds with great power and glory.
27
And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from
the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part
of heaven.

Passover
Mark
14:21
16 So
His disciples went out, and came into the city, and found it just as
He had said to them; and they prepared the Passover.
17 In
the evening He came with the twelve.
18
Now as they sat and ate, Jesus said, "Assuredly, I say to you,
one of you who eats with Me will betray Me."
19
And they began to be sorrowful, and to say to Him one by one, "Is
it I?" And another said, "Is it I?"
20 He
answered and said to them, "It is one of the twelve, who dips
with Me in the dish.
21
The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is
written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is
betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had never been
born."
Gethsemane
Mark
14:41
32
Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to
His disciples, "Sit here while I pray."
33
And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be
troubled and deeply distressed.
34
Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to
death. Stay here and watch."
35 He
went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it
were possible, the hour might pass from Him.
36
And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You.
Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what
You will."
37
Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon,
are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour?
38
Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is
willing, but the flesh is weak."
39
Again He went away and prayed, and spoke the same words.
40
And when He returned, He found them asleep again, for their eyes were
heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him.
41
Then He came the third time and said to them, "Are you still
sleeping and resting? It is enough! The hour has come; behold, the
Son of Man is being betrayed into the
hands of sinners.
Sanhedrin
Mark
14:62
53
And they led Jesus away to the high priest; and with him were
assembled all the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes.
54
But Peter followed Him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the
high priest. And he sat with the servants and warmed himself at the
fire.
55
Now the chief priests and all the council sought testimony against
Jesus to put Him to death, but found none.
56
For many bore false witness against Him, but their testimonies did
not agree.
57
Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying,
58
"We heard Him say, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands,
and within three days I will build another made without hands.' "
59
But not even then did their testimony agree.
60
And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, saying,
"Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against
You?"
61
But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked
Him, saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the
Blessed?"
62
Jesus said, "I am. And you will see the Son
of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with
the clouds of heaven."
63
Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "What further
need do we have of witnesses?
64
You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?" And they all
condemned Him to be deserving of death.

17
Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were
Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of
every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the
Lord was present to heal them.
18
Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they
sought to bring in and lay before Him.
19
And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of
the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed
through the tiling into the midst before Jesus.
20
When He saw their faith, He said to him, "Man, your sins are
forgiven you."
21
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who
is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
22
But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to
them, "Why are you reasoning in your hearts?
23
Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say,
'Rise up and walk'?
24
But that you may know that the Son of Man
has power on earth to forgive sins"--He said to the man who was
paralyzed, "I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to
your house."
25
Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying
on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
26
And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with
fear, saying, "We have seen strange things today!"

because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her

Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge said.

19
And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them,

So, when he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son
of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him.
32 If
God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and
glorify Him immediately.
33
Little children, I shall be with you a little while longer. You will
seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, 'Where I am going, you cannot
come,' so now I say to you.
34 A
new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have
loved you, that you also love one another.
35 By
this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for
one another."
